Moving the frame
Everything except the engine had been stored at a friends place, but the guy is just too busy and lives too far away for it to be practical when the assembly fase comes up. So I had to move everything closer to home in my old volvo. It was a tight fit, and had to remove most parts, but in the end the volvo could accomodate the honda :-) What a nice unification of the two machines I love and work on. Even though it had been stored nice and dry it was dusty and dirty. I almost gave up the entire thing with all the work ahead, but luckily a wipe and some tlc made it all worth while again. Am now waiting impatiently for the new parts to arrive and getting the machinework done.

Micrometer
Wednesday, January 9, 2008
Howdy :-) Made a little vid with my mobilephone. I unfortunately threw my nice Canon Ixus away so this will have to do.
And a little update: Still waiting patiently for my brand new micrometer to measure the crank and bigend bearings. A far as I can tell though its all within spec but gotta be sure, and its nice to have a more precise measuring device in the toolkit :-) The bigend are all green, easy to tell because the paintdabs still remain. The main are all brown but for one. As you may have noticed the case is missing the studs, one broke of and the remaining one is firmly stuck in the case. This, i hope, will soon be taken care of so I can get on with the rebuild and once again be a happy rider this summer :-)
